Either God is Binary or He Isn't.

There are two kinds of people.

1. Those who put people into categories.

2. Those who don't.

Are you in the first or second category? Most will deny living in the first category because it sounds so intolerant, but they actually do. Categorizing things helps to make sense of the world; is something true or false, real or fantasy, safe or dangerous, life-giving or cause for death? We live in a universe of binary logic. The device with which I write this article is full of 1's and 0's, or switches which are either on or off. You, the reader are deciding whether to agree with me, or disagree.

Binary Logic is also known as Boolean logic. Named after the nineteenth-century mathematician George Boole, it is a form of algebra in which all values are reduced to either TRUE or FALSE. Boolean logic is especially important for computer science because it fits nicely with the binary numbering system, in which each bit has a value of either 1 or 0. Amazing how this mathematics is discovered just as we need it, almost as if it were planned! Do you agree or disagree?

I had a discussion with an Atheist about axioms (ideas which are accepted as true without proofs). We even discussed as to which logic system to use in our analysis. My friend noted this system and that which worked with different specialized situations. They were all interesting until I realized that my friend was using binary logic to describe the different systems; ( i.e. It is THIS, and NOT that.) We then agreed to use binary logic.

It is the way the universe works.

For instance; the Milky Way either exists or it does not. Two objects cannot exist in the same space at the same time in the same way. God either exists, or He does not. If He exists, He is either the God as described in the Bible or not. Binary logic works, or it does not. The reader will either agree with me or will not.

Some people in today's culture are confused by such clarity. Many college students are unwilling to make clear distinctions between correct and incorrect, right and wrong, black and white, even male and female. They claim internal desire, subjective truth or opinion trumps objective truth. People actually think they are a woman trapped in a man's body, or a woman trapped in a man, some go so far as to identify as animals! Yet they cannot deny their gender and humanity despite donning their female, male, or animal costumes. All of this confusion confirms God's binary logic. These confused people are tolerant of things they ought not to be. Yet in their confusion they always measure themselves against a standard of right and wrong, holy and unholy. In other words, their thoughts grow dark, and foolish against the perfect standard of God. The Bible is clear on this matter.

It is written, 20 “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.”

Romans 1:20-21

God's Divine character is displayed in two categories. God either created the world, or He did not. Since God created the world, and the world works on binary logic, God's Divine character is displayed in truth and absence of truth, light and the absence of light, holiness and what is unholy. Jesus warns us He will separate these two categories of wise virgins from foolish, faithful servants from unfaithful, sheep from goats.

32 “All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.”

Matthew 25:32-34

Since you, the reader, are created in the image of God, this includes you. Just the simple act of either disagreeing or agreeing with me proves my point. You can't help living like the God who created you. Even if you rebel and pretend God does not exist, you can’t help but to live as if to confirm the God who made you.

The atheist uses logic and mathematics (which are either correct or not). Even though they are unable to account for it. They cannot account for it because they live in a universe of continual change or evolution. Yet expect one day to be like another, which is called induction. I have recently heard of some atheistic theories where logic and the laws of physics are not consistent, but evolve or change. Yet they live everyday as if laws of nature are immutable, or unchanging. Silly enough, according to atheists, humans are nothing more than accidental bags of sentient chemical reactions without purpose or meaning, The atheist even lives as though mankind has intrinsic value. They also live as though the Ten Commandments applies to them and others.

So since you, the reader, are alive (the dead do not read articles), have you received the gift of eternal life? Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8 and 9 says that salvation is a GIFT by faith, not wages.

It’s also written,

“The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life.”

Romans 6:8

The law of Moses teaches us that we need a savior since we are not able to live a completely holy life. We need a blood sacrifice to redeem us to the Father.

The Bible says,

"There is NO remission of sin without the shedding of blood."

Hebrews 9:22

To apprehend this gift all you need is repentance and trust. Repentance means you must agree that sin is bad, or make a change of mind about sin, and trust the sin sacrifice of Jesus the Messiah. Trust Jesus and His love as a skydiver trusts his parachute.

If this happens to you, the thing Jesus described as "born again" happens to you. This does NOT mean all your troubles will be fixed, and your life will become easy and pleasurable. This means you will go heaven when you die from this world, and you have the opportunity to put on Jesus' yoke which is easy, and the burden is light. The more you live in agreement with the character of the living God, the better off you will be. However, the more you live in Christ's Righteousness, the more the world will hate you because you will expose their evil. Because God is binary, you must count the cost of discipleship. Are you willing to pay it, yes or no? I hope so. Hell awaits for those who deny the Father and His son, Jesus. Reread verse 34 in Matthew 25. Those who have passed from death to life have received the blessings of God. These blessings are not ours in the next world, but they are ours now. So now GO AND LIVE IN THE JOY AND LOVE OF GOD! Or don't. In which category do you find yourself?
